Doctors Without Borders
The Three Wise Men traveled to help baby Jesus through their knowledge and gifts. Similarly, Doctors Without Borders sends medical volunteers to provide "emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or manmade disasters, or exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries."
As an example, the organization immediately responded to an earthquake in remote mountainous areas of Pakistan in 2008. Literally from the ground up, the organization established 24-hour clinics to treat the wounded and began distributing tents, cooking sets, and other necessities to fight off disease and hardship.
