The Nature Conservancy
One of the Nature Conservancy's many projects is to protect Alaskan arctic lands where polar bears give birth to their cubs even in the dark cold of winter. The Nature Conservancy "work[s] to protect the most ecologically important lands and waters around the world for nature and people." It is active in all 50 U.S. states and in more than 30 countries.
The Nature Conservancy is known for a collaborative approach of fostering partnerships with local communities.
