American Ballet Theatre
The American Ballet Theatre, a premier dance company worldwide, places "passion, power, and movement" at center stage. The company's performances impress 600,000 audience members a year. A highlight of the upcoming spring season is an all-new production of The Sleeping Beauty set to music by Tchaikovsky.
One of the classic ballets performed by the company was the Nutcracker. In the final scene, the protagonist, Clara, awakens from her dream and, while staring at the snow at the window, marvels that life could really be as beautiful as what she had just experienced.
